DESCRIPTION:What are the aims and objectives? \nThe Bridging Project (BP) seeks to connect students in the UK with maternal health initiatives in both Bangladesh and the UK. Our goal is to enhance students’ appreciation for medicine while helping them develop essential skills in teamwork\, case presentation\, and communication\, all of which are crucial for careers in healthcare \nWho could participate? \nStudents from year 11 to year 13 who have an interest in healthcare e.g Medicine\, Dentistry and Nursing.  \nWhen is it? \nSession will start this summer \nWhat’s the logistics? (Online session) \n\nOnce a week we run a session\, in the evening for 1.5 hours for 6 weeks\nStudents can only come to the skills events and receive a certificate if they have participated in ⅚ of the online sessions.\n\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Peak District Hike is back! Participants from across the country are invited to take part in a hike through one of Britain’s most beautiful mountain ranges. The money raised will provide vital healthcare for mothers in resource poor areas of Bangladesh and India. \nThe Peak District is known and loved by many for its breath-taking views: From the high\, moorland plateaus in the north\, to the steep-sided\, deep dales and rolling green hills in the south\, the Charity Trek will take you through seven miles of this breath-taking scenery. Professional hiking guides and Maa ambassadors will be with you for every step of the 4-5 hour journey\, showing you the best sights and keeping you safe throughout the day. \nWhat’s Included? \nRegistration fees will be used to pay for transport and hiking guides. \nFundraising \nParticipants will have a fundraising goal of £200\, a donation page will be provided upon checkout to help you meet this target. \nIf you have any questions please contact the event organiser\, Bodrul Islam. \nNB: The registration fee is non-refundable
